What a Classi Retreat!

Classi Creations Retreat Projects

Well it has been quite the start to a new year!

Pensacola saw an unprecedented event that froze everyone in their tracks….literally. We received 10 inches of snow!

It doesn’t usually snow in Pensacola. Actually, the last time it received snow like this was about 130 years ago. So to say we were shocked is an UNDERSTATEMENT. We played in the snow the best way that underprepared Floridians can do. I put ziplock bags over my children’s feet to keep their shoes and socks dry (Freezer bags for the win!). I found a few pairs of old gardening gloves and hubs found some work gloves so that they can make their tropical snow people. And we brought out the pool floats and beach toys so that they can “sled” and make snow castles. Creativity just flows in our house…….

The city of Pensacola LITERALLY shut down. We offered our upcoming Classi Creations Retreaters the option to postpone their retreat but they were just WAY too excited and determined to carry on. And I am so happy that they did.

I know I talk a lot about the Classi Creations Krewe but it’s because they are just the best. They had the most amazing goodie bags for their guests which included an awesome project bag with multiple zippy folders. They sell the bags themselves in their shop and they are PERFECT for taking along to classes and retreats. The bags had all the items the retreaters needed for their instructor-led projects plus a few extra goodies. They had 3 instructors! They made the most beautiful items. You can see posts of what they made and reviews from their retreaters in the “Classi Quilters” group, the Classi Creations private group.

With each retreat, I welcome feedback. We hosted a small private retreat just the week prior and our retreater recommended we add hair dryers to the bathrooms and welcome mats to the inside of the front door so we were able to get those in place prior to Classi’s arrival. With this retreat, we received feedback on adding spaces for toothbrush holders in the bathrooms and a few maintenance items that we were not aware of. We will be sure to get these things updated prior to the next retreat. Why am I putting my business out there? Because I want folks to know that I love feedback and I try to act on it quickly so that I can be ready for the next clues to make my place better. So if you’ve been by and seen something you like (or didn’t like), I’m always open to feedback and I do NOT take it personally.

Anywho, Legit Kits were on Shark Tank last week and I’ve been flooded with retreat inquires (THANK GOODNESS haha). If you’re looking to come by, now’s the time to book! Only $50 reserves your spot and then I just invoice you every pay period leading up to your retreat at no extra charge (not on my end anyway).

Check out the website, share my FB page and group with your friends, and don’t forget to check out the non-profit side of our retreat center, Vicky’s Heart, to find ways to help us take care of our local community one handmade item at a time.

With quilted love,

Glo
