A Handmade Black Friday

As Black Friday approaches, my timeline becomes full of specials and deals. Which, as a new business owner, puts the pressure on me to figure out what I have to offer?
Something Free? Something Discounted? Something relaxing? Maybe I can figure out a way to do it all?
That’s kind of my motto. My life is lived in that impulse aisle by the checkout stand. I may have shown up to the store with a plan and I may have made many rules for myself as I skipped the shopping cart and only brought exact cash and gave myself a time limit. But then I get to that impulse section and I’m reaching for my Apple Pay as I realize I lost my last 16 packs of gum I keep buying at the checkout stand and I haven’t read up on pop culture so maybe I should buy a magazine or three and oh if I get the Mega pack of Peanut M & Ms, the peanuts in the pack will have the protein that I have been missing because I forgot to drink my protein shake at breakfast…….
Impulses can be crazy. But they can also drive you to your wildest dreams where you have the ability to make all your presents this year. Or most of them. OK, maybe just one. One handmade, thoughtful present from the heart is the perfect start to what will be sure to make your foundation to your New Year’s resolutions for 2025.
So what does a Black Friday Deal at the Pensacola Retreat House look like?
A Handmade Marathon beginning at 8 am on Black Friday until 8 pm on Saturday evening. Come for the whole thing and see if you can craft until you drop or stop by and get some work done and move right along. For each handmade item created at the retreat center, you will receive a raffle ticket to win one of dozens of prizes.
